Peptide Therapy
The term peptide refers to a shortened chain of amino acids, like the form of human growth hormone, largely affected by the endocrine system, like the pituitary gland.
Growth hormone is created in the pituitary gland but the signal for production originates in the hypothalamus. Levels naturally rise during sleep as a means to allow for physiologic recovery and growth.

But what do they do?
Growth hormone, for instance, is quite useful in the stimulation of bone and cartilage growth as well as protein production.
There are multiple benefits to patients in need of a growth hormone boost including increased muscle mass, increased activity and exercise tolerance and fracture prevention which will benefit additional body systems, the cardiovascular and neuromuscular for starters.

How can we help?
At first, we would monitor your body's reaction to therapy with dedicated assessments of insulin-like growth factor-1 (IGF-1) which would be addressed in our initial discussion of lab values.
Treatment is conducted in 3 month cycles with medication that encourages the production and release of GH as a means of encouraging natural production in the pituitary gland. These are not injections of Human Growth Hormone.
Treatment with peptides is not for everyone, though, and we will review efficacy, safety and administration at our intake conversation.

Schedule and Expect Costs
Initial Consultation: $100

60 minute visit to establish with the practice to review goals of care, available labs, discuss and create a plan of care.
Monthly Membership with Follow-up Appointments: $50

30 minute visit six weeks after the Initial Consultation to review course of treatment and further develop long term plan of care. Frequency of further Follow-up Appointments will be defined and adjusted as needed.
Medications:

Prescribed medications will be sent to your local pharmacy as available. Commonly, we will utilize FDA-approved compounding pharmacies for certain medications which can be more cost-effective for the patient and will ship directly to the patient's home following receipt of paid invoice.
